what are your thoughts on parents who make their children vegan or vegetarian?

There are probably hundreds or thousands of things that their child could be eating but isn't, just because people in their culture don't eat those things. So what's the big difference if you take away all meats.. especially if the parents don't eat meat either.. then vegetarianism just becomes the diet of their household. That's perfectly fair.

The people who say that they shouldn't enforce it on their children don't realize that every single thing the child eats is forced upon them in some sense, because there are countless other possible diets.

I also think it's unethical to eat animals (and not just because they die, but because of their horrid living conditions from birth to death), so it's unethical to have your children eat them too. Also dairy products contribute to the suffering of cows, so maybe going full vegan is more appropriate.
