Q:
Does the Universe exist because of one person , namely you ?
A:
Maybe/probably, but not in an exclusive sense--it probably doesn't exist because of me in some sense that it doesn't also exist because of Fred next door. How can this be? Because on an ultimate level we're all one; there is only one being.
Of course, it may be technically false the way you worded it, because on the level at which we're all one and responsible for the universe, we're not humans so we're not "persons." It's not that we're *not* fully human, but that we're more than meets the eye, we weren't human or persons at the time the universe was created, and not all beings are even currently human/persons.
Perhaps some souls are deeper, aware of deeper levels of self, bigger, or older, though, so I guess it's possible that some people are a little more responsible for the existence of the universe than others, at least within a certain light of consideration.
I think there may also be another sense in which the universe exists because of me more so than it exists because of Fred, and that's that all other beings are in a sense constructs of my own mind. That sounds like solipsism and self-centered, but it's not--every individual soul is in a sense the center of their own universe, and in a sense is the creator of everything they see around them.
That of course raises the questions of a) if it's true of everyone, that just brings us right back to Fred and me being of equal world-creating status so why even bring it up, and b) how can it be logical that that everyone is simultaneously the creator of everyone else. The answer to b) is out of the scope of this answer, but to answer a), it could be that in a sense, to me, I am more responsible for the existence of the universe than Fred, while from Fred's perspective, he is rightly more responsible for the existence of the universe than I am.
