Love is an appreciation for someone else or a valuing of their wellbeing through seeing their divine spark, divinity being something shared between all people, so you kind of see the you in them. Maybe you even see a you want to be. The feeling of love could be a generous emotion that flows out of you toward them, or it could be excitement or being delighted just at the sight/voice/laugh/words/etc. of someone, or something else.

Romantic love tends to involve a lot of desire, you desire them for their personality traits that you want to have or something, that's why people say "you complete me," and wanting someone to have fun with, dote over, express love and affection to including physically, etc., someone who you really get along with well, to make you happy. And of course, ideally, to make them happy because you love them.
